Biloxi is located in Harrison County, Mississippi, on the shores of the Mississippi Sound. The city is home to a thriving gaming and entertainment industry and as well as multiple military bases. Keesler Air Force Base, the 81st Training Wing and the 403rd Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserve are located within the city of Biloxi.
History of the City
Biloxi was established in 1699 by French ship captain and explorer Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville. The city has a rich European history and was once a territory of England, Spain and France.
Before Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast in 2005, Biloxi was the third-largest city in Mississippi. Many residents left due to the massive flooding and destruction left behind by the storm. Over the years, Biloxi has steadily grown thanks to a booming rebuilding effort of businesses and homes.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is filled with many fun activities for every member of the family. The Margaritaville Resort and Family Entertainment Center has an arcade room with over 200 games and other attractions. The resort also has restaurants, bars and a rooftop water playground complete with a 450-foot lazy river, splash pad, a ropes course and a swim-up bar.
The Biloxi Shuckers is a AA Minor League baseball team whose home field is the MGM Park located across the street from the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.
